Creating a logo is one of the most exciting times for a business; it feels like the moment when the company is born. For the graphic designer, the creation of a brand is a thrilling project.
1. Less is more
A logo is the face of your company. The simpler it is, the easier it is to understand and remember. You are possibly aware of the rebrand of Starbucks in 2011. They simplified their logo.
A logo with a lot of elements usually don’t resize well, and it becomes difficult to remember.
A well-designed logo is memorable and recognisable. If you think Nike’s swoosh how simple is and how memorable.
A logo needs to work at all sizes. That is why above I was emphasising about the simplicity because the more elements it has the more difficult becomes to make it smaller.
4. Have a story
A good logo have a story that supports the brand its representing. Amazon has a good logo story, is an arrow that goes from A to Z making the logo smile.
